May 7, 2025 at 9:27 amI’m a part of a conflicted family and just want to dissociate myself from it entirely, parents included. There are no assets left anyway and I didn’t have anything to do with the liabilities as most if it was created when I was a minor. Can I break free? I don’t want anything to do with family just want to live by myself peacefully.

May 7, 2025 at 11:25 amNAL..OP the concept of emancipation from parents is not prevalent in Indian Law.
However you can seek a separation from parents or change of guardianship.
Here’s how to go about..
https://vakilsearch.com/blog/legally-separate-from-parents-in-india/Just a few things to ponder before you go about this:
Are you absolutely sure about your decision to separate from your family?
You will also have to change your legal guardian from your parents to your someone you trust.
Hope this helps..
