[TN] should I go for a suit for natham land related common pathway issue?

Hi,

I am looking for opinions from experts here for a decision of applying a suit.

Parent documents either side do not have any record of pathways in my share of land, but the opposite party claims they have in their document. Ancestors were kind enough in those days to let people use the path for usage but it’s biting us now. They also have a piece of government land which is in their possession for years.

I’m ok to share the pathway in one side of the land or even exchange the piece of land between us for them to access theirs easily. But they are asking for an equal share (but their share is including government land).

Any advice?
