May 6, 2025 at 8:21 pmUrgent Legal Help Needed – Kolkata Property Fraud Victims Facing Eviction TomorrowI’m seeking urgent legal support on behalf of my maternal grandmother and uncle, who are about to be evicted from their home at [Property Address, if you wish to include] on 7th May 2025, due to a loan default by a fraudulent and now absconding property owner.
Background:
The house was mortgaged by the owner (my grandfather’s nephew) to Hinduja Leyland Finance without informing long-standing tenants, including my family.
Multiple tenants paid lakhs of rupees in selami deposits over the years.
The owner has now fled after taking money from many people and defaulting on the loan.
The CJM Court has allowed the bank to take possession, and we couldn’t secure a stay order today despite trying in court.
Now, 7+ families, including senior citizens, may be forcibly removed from their homes tomorrow.
Request:
We urgently need help from legal experts who can advise or assist in last-minute intervention through DRT or Calcutta High Court.
Is there any way to delay the possession or protect these innocent tenants until the fraud is properly investigated?
Any contacts with pro bono lawyers, legal aid, or officials willing to intervene—even briefly—could save these families from being unjustly evicted.
Please DM me or comment if you can help or guide. Time is extremely short.
