April 18, 2025 at 9:48 amHello everyone,
I live in a gated community, and recently a few residents (2-3 houses) have taken over a public park inside the society and converted it into a cricket ground. They have installed nets all around the park, which is causing problems. Birds are getting trapped in the nets because the park has a lot of greenery, and the grass has also been damaged due to constant playing.Every morning, they invite more people (around 30-50 yrs old) and create a lot of noise while playing, which disturbs the peace. Just yesterday, a senior citizen living nearby was hit by a cricket ball. He raised a complaint with the society association, but no action has been taken so far.
We would like to know what options we have to deal with this issue and restore the park for everyoneβs use.

I will let the kids or adults play. Let them have some fun time. Your focus should be on preventive measures like installing “temporary” net barricades and they can play ‘box-cricket’. Talk to adults amongst the one who are playing. It’s easier to deal with in-person than post on Reddit.
