April 17, 2025 at 6:26 amI need some urgent advice regarding an issue with Policybazaar and the Consumer Portal India website.**Background:**
I cancelled my insurance policy well within the cancellation window, but the associated loan (through Shopse) was not closed properly. As a result, I was charged a second EMI and bounce charges totaling โน2,598, even though Policybazaar claims to have processed the refund. I have proof from my bank statement that the refund was not enough to close the loan, which led to these extra charges. Iโve already contacted Policybazaar but havenโt received a satisfactory resolution and am now out โน2,598 for no fault of mine.**Issue with Consumer Portal:**
I created an account on [consumerportal.india.gov.in](http://consumerportal.india.gov.in) to file a complaint, but I canโt log in because it says:> “*ERROR: Your mobile number is not verify. Verify your number.”*
Thereโs no clear option on the site to verify my number. Has anyone faced this issue? How do I verify my mobile number and proceed with filing my complaint against Policybazaar?
**Additional Questions:**
* Is there any way for me to get compensated for the charges (โน2,598), or do I have to bear this loss myself?
* Has anyone successfully resolved a similar case with Policybazaar or through the Consumer Portal?Any help or guidance would be much appreciated. Thank you!
