KMy maternal uncle (my mother’s brother) has been involved in a legal case with his ex-wife for the past 12 years. Recently, false allegations have been made against my mother, claiming that she and my uncle had a joint bank account through which Rs. 5 lakhs were transferred. However, this is entirely false, as no such joint account exists.
In an unrelated matter, I unintentionally created a bank account in my own name and provided my uncle’s phone number so he could use the account, as his PAN card was blocked at the time.
And, my father—who is a Central Government employee—has also been dragged into the case, despite having no involvement in any of these matters.
For easy extortion of money as govt employees shouldn’t have case on their name .Given all this, I’m worried whether I could get into legal trouble for allowing my uncle to use my account, and whether any of this could affect my parents as well.
