Is annulment possible if the husband hides having an affair before the marriage and lying to his wife about it? He also says he doesn’t want the marriage anymore. The marriage also hasn’t been consummated.

Yes definitely. I just got a marriage annulled where both parties were willing. You have to file a Suit for declaration under CPC, given ofc both parties are willing. Let me know if you need any help!

What all proofs are there for marriage???

If both of them don’t want to continue they can delete all photos and videos of the marriage and look for someone else in their life.

Then she will marry someone else and if by chance male gets rich then son of woman will ask for share later on. Better to do things legally

For annulment, you need strict evidence and the grounds are limited.

If husband is in marital relationship with another woman at the time of marriage is one of the grounds. His past relationship cannot be the ground for annulment.

Non consummation of marriage owing to the impotency of the respondent is another ground, but not just non-consummation.

I’m a Delhi based lawyer, with an extensive experience in matrimonial disputes. Any specific reason why you wish to annul the marriage and not go for a mutual divorce? The latter is less complicated.

No specific reason. Open to explore all options available. It’s only been 2 months since the wedding so I thought it’ll be easier to get it annulled otherwise will definitely look at mutual divorce.

You cannot file for divorce until one year of your marriage, unless absolutely grave circumstances exist.

Only non consummation of marriage is not a ground for annulment. Infidelity is a ground for seeking divorce. Try to go with mutual settlement divorce.
