Need help with police report after bike accident

Someone I know have been in a bike accident with other bike and they are pressing charges. They have filed an FIR and a cross FIR has been filed from our side. Both the sides drivers sustained injuries. Our bike RC had also expired before the accident. What can be the best course of action from our side?
