Scammer threatening me for defamation

1. I exposed this scammer on Reddit
2. He has agreed to pay all the money back and in return I promise to not expose him anymore or indulge in social media
3. I had contacted him for astrology, so he knows my personal details
4. I have a national cyber complaint registered on this guy
5. I have all proofs of the actual scam and messages of him threatening me with defamation

Can he file a defamation case on me ?

just checking – I bruised his ego a lot, and he has my info, so I’m concerned about any adverse effects
