April 12, 2025 at 4:30 amSo the case is from Bengaluru, but I stay in Pune now.
I discontinued Airtel Xtreme fiber connection in Bengaluru before shifting to Pune in December 2024. After this Airtel was supposed to pay me any excess amount from my then active recharge. Now, I have shared all the documentation with Airtel requesting for a refund. They have taken no action on it. Every time I contact their customer support, they request me for the same documents all over again. On asking them what action they took on the previous shared documents they claim they don’t have any knowledge about that.
This is not just a case of refund now, but a case of mental torture from Airtel. I need advice on how to approach consumer court for this and produce a hefty compensation for all my troubles.

April 12, 2025 at 4:57 amIβm a lawyer and Iβm saying itβs not worth the pain, but yes do write to them hysterically, and send them a legal notice if you want.-

April 12, 2025 at 2:22 pmYes I wish to do that, just to teach them a lesson. What’s the procedure to send a legal notice? Also, is it required to send a legal notice before approaching consumer court?About the compensation, I feel 10-15K is too less for the torture I have gone through. I would ask for a hefty one.

April 12, 2025 at 3:59 pmNo, itβs not necessary to send a legal notice before approaching consumer court. But sometimes issues get sorted at the notice level when the Noticee realises that they might get sued. The procedure is to just engage a lawyer and to apprise them with the detailed facts, who will then send a legal notice on his/her letterhead.
