April 13, 2026 at 5:44 amHii I am a person with benchmark disability (45%, locomotor disability). I work in a PSB. I am from Delhi. My first posting was in Bangalore and I am still posted in Bangalore. After joining, due to some unfortunate circumstances, I have been certified as the PwBD.Now I had applied for transfer to Delhi because I stay alone here in Bangalore and it is not easy for me to manage on my own. My father has brain cancer, therefore, my family cannot relocate. My husband also works in Gurgaon.
The HR is asking that the disability is temporary then why do you want the transfer.
I tried to read HR policy and Govt Act also. But it does not say anything about temporarily disabled not to be given preference in transfer.
Please help.

April 13, 2026 at 5:51 amYou can send a mail to your higher ups. Each and every PSB bank has provisions for PwBD that includes transfer also. I am sorry for how your HR reacted to your claims. You will have provisions for Transfer, you just have to find the right way. Try asking within your workplace how it works. Try reading your company terms for transfer. Never lose hope.-

April 13, 2026 at 5:53 amThankyou ๐I did read the company terms. There is no mention of temporary disability. Only that Persons with Benchmark Disability are eligible.
I tried to ask within the workplace as well. I was shut down by saying that you are behaving as if this transfer is your right. Even following up on the status of the transfer request application has been met with rudeness from the HR.

April 13, 2026 at 5:55 amIt is your right. I am so sorry your workplace is so de-sensitive. If you have your PwBD certificate, claim with that. That will suffice for bonafide.-

April 13, 2026 at 5:57 amI know.. it is very frustrating. I have claimed with that. I have moved the application on the grounds that I am a PwBD. I have provided them with all the documents as well along with UDID Card.
