April 7, 2025 at 12:20 pmWe hired a photographer in Pune. Our agreed terms were to pay in 50% in advance and remaining in instalments. The final instalment was to be done when we receive the complete data. Since the beginning, we noticed his behaviour was a bit indifferent but since we had already booked him and were busy with the wedding preparations, we decided to continue with him. After the wedding, we had been continuously chasing him to get our photos and videos. Every time he asked for more money to release the data. We complied hoping to finally receive the complete set of photos and videos. However, each time we received the files, they were incomplete and had some missing content. When it came time for the final payment, he insisted on half of the remaining balance, assuring us that this time he would provide all the content. We made the payment in good faith, but after that, his attitude changed. He became increasingly disrespectful and erratic. In frustration, I threatened him with legal action to recover what we were owed, but he became more arrogant. Now he has refused to share any more data with us and we have lost extra money too. This kind of behavior is unacceptable, and I want to take action to ensure he is held accountable. What legal steps can I take to make sure he faces consequences for his actions and doesnβt continue to scam others? -
