passport Renewal Stuck at SP Office – Need Urgent

  I applied for passport renewal for myself, a fresh passport for my child, and a name change for my wife. my wife received her passport just 3 days after the PSK visit. However, both mine and my child’s passport status show:
  
  “Police report has been submitted by ‘local’ (my area Police Station), Mumbai and sent to SP Office, District Mumbai for review.”
  
  The local police confirmed that they submitted a positive report on March 26, but the status hasn’t moved since then. I have an international flight on May 5.Is there still a chance to receive the passport at least by next week?
  
  Is there anything I can do to expedite the process at the SP Office level? Has anyone faced a similar situation in Mumbai recently ?

  Get in touch with local postal office share you contact and tell them to revert as soon as they receive your passport.
  
  Nothing else can be done but due recent vacation and festivals the delay I unpredictable.

      Police station you should have bribed always. That is unwritten rule for passport. But if the police says it has gone go to postal office.

  You will get your passport on time don’t worry. Local police verification is done and is OK. Data entries is done at SP level office. Most people don’t know that Police have 21 days to submit a clear report. So wait.
