Is there any way to find whether my passport is valid or not?
Like it is not on Show cause notice or is in adverse category.

If there’s any sub for this question please recommend that too.

It’s the other way around.
How can i be sure that it’s valid when i have not recived any confirmation.

Because passports don’t go invalid unless one has been involved in any controversy which also involved directions relating to their passport. So if there are any such reasons, not sure what’s the way to check.

In many renewals they reissue passport with post police verification. The verification may fail for many reasons. In such cases passport may issue a showcause notice, but the person may miss seeing it. 

He may not even be aware that verification failed and notice issued, he still has the passport. In such cases how to check the validity of the passport?

I’m not sure about that because according to me, even when you’re renewing your passport, you only receive the new passport post police verification. And once that’s clear, if you receive your new passport, that’s an indicator enough that it’s a valid passport. If there are any exceptional circumstances, I am not aware.

For passport reissue if previous passport was issued by same RPO then 50% chances of issuing passport on post verification basis. If there is no change in address then 90% chance of post verification.

I got it reissued few years back. Got the SMS about passport being sent for printing even before I reached home from PSK. I got the passport on 3rd day. Police verification happened on 5th day. But no way to verify if there was any issue with police verification.

Though from X , i got to know police verification was clear for my passport.
