Got a wrongful traffic challan because of a politicians convoy

Was waiting at a signal and as soon as my signal turned green a politician’s convoy crossed me and then the traffic police issued an e challan with the charge of ‘not following manual signalling’ even though my signal was green and all the vehicles had already started.

Have raised a grievance, need advice to further appeal against the charge.

You won’t get it cancelled. You have to obey manual commands overriding the automatic signals which you didn’t.

As per the traffic laws, manual signal has higher precedence compared to the automatic signal. RTO offer we can always override lights.
