Indian people are conservative, intolerant, and downright uncouth. Many topics which are easily open for discussion elsewhere are considered taboo in India.

It’s a novel thought, but I don’t think it will work out well at all. Imagine local politicians using it to pander to the morality vote, religious extremists making an issue out of it, etc.
