QI’m in a desperate situation and need urgent advice. I contacted Aaarkane Overseas in August 2024 for a Canadian work permit. They later suggested a Finnish work permit instead, for which I paid them 1.30 lakhs and signed a notarized (but not registered) agreement.
They then secured an offer letter, for which I paid another 2 lakhs, as per our agreement.
In January, they switched to an Austrian work permit, citing delays with Finland. After pursuing this, they now claim a previous client’s Austrian application was rejected and they can’t proceed.
Their latest “solution” is to get me a Netherlands tourist visa, then send me to Poland where a “coordinator/solicitor” will supposedly convert it to a work permit. This sounds illegal and I believe they are unable to fulfill their original promise.
I’ve paid them a total of 3.30 lakhs and they are refusing a refund, offering only to wait for other “opportunities” or to proceed with the Poland plan, which I’m not comfortable with due to its illegality.
I’m meeting them at their Malad office tomorrow (Monday) and need advice on how to proceed.My questions are:
1.Should I try to negotiate politely for a refund?
2.Should I file a police complaint for fraud (section 420) immediately?
3.What evidence should I gather and bring to the meeting and/or police?
4.Are there any legal resources or consumer protection agencies I should contact?
5.What are my chances of recovering my money?
6.Does anyone have experience with similar situations or Aaarkane Overseas?Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated. I’m feeling very stressed and don’t know what to do. Thank you.

BOP this is well oiled scam.
They are trying to smuggle you into Myanmar, Laos, Combodia where you will be forced to scam Indians through digital arrest. They will not mention these countries directly else victim will be suspicious. They will take you to another country and once you reach there you will be transported to these 3 countries.
Trust me, I have read multiple news articles about how these scam works. Main traffickers are these placement agencies.

PHello please do a police complain against them if you are in Mumbai the owner sonali is very smart shes taken advantage of your situation and given you an easy way out please go and do a police complain and also ask how many cases they have on their head as well for aarkane overseas

PI have a similar experience get a very hard working lawyer who is very vigilant about the case if you have to pay extra please pay and do it research about the company there are many people whose money is stuck don’t negotiate on money get your complete money out sonali can provide you the complete amount just make sure you do a whole lot of research including the documents she’s provided you if their legit
