March 30, 2025 at 4:18 amHello,My marriage was registered under Hindu Marriage Act in Chennai. In 2023, we got a mutual consent divorce granted in the US. Last year, we filed our petition for a mutual consent divorce in India (Madras High Court), and we appeared in court physically.
I was wondering if there is any way to request the court to do the final hearing via Zoom? I am a PhD student and have my qualifying exams coming up. Additionally, I am also not able to travel due to visa issues.
We have no children, no property, no alimony, nothing. It is really simple and straightforward. I would really appreciate some advice. We are working with a lawyer but they are giving us very vague answers. Is there a way to request a virtual hearing in Madras High Court?
