March 29, 2025 at 2:26 pmI started working at this company at the end of 2024, and within a few months, I was asked to resign due to overhiring. After being jobless for about six months due to a challenging job market, I accepted a new position at a lower salary. However, several months into that role, my former manager from contacted me and offered me an opportunity to return. Despite initial skepticism, I agreed, as the compensation was favorable, and I was reassured that there would be no future layoffs due to workload demands.Unfortunately, the situation has since become more uncertain. I recently learned that the COO and the owner of the company had a falling out, which resulted in immediate terminations, and there are rumors that more layoffs are coming. A member of another team mentioned that my name might be on the list, and I am now feeling quite concerned about my position.
The owner is a horrible person. She literally sleeps the whole time and then she suddenly wakes up and realises that she has over hired people and fire them.
Can you guys please suggest what could I do in this case?
