How to update aadhar surname if I don’t have supporting documents.

I want to update my aadhar name since it’s too lengthy and may documents it’s not allowing the lengthy name or not getting full name printed.

So I wanna shorten the surname keeping my firstname same.

many documents are the same name as my aadhar so I don’t have supporting documents to revise it.

Looking for posible options.

Get letter from local MP/MLA and get it updated through online portal

i did mine, my first name’s spelling was wrong on birth certificate, so needed to get a gazette to prove that x and xx both are me- it is handled by the state gov, I’ve done my gazette in maharashtra, you can search up the process on youtube, you’ll be surprised how many people keep applying to get their name fixed

Ask your family doctor to give a certificate it will act as supporting document.
