NI registered for TOEFL iBT but I did not have my passport with me so I was not allowed to write the test. Mind you they did not ask for a passport during registration, like idp and others do.
I contacted them and they’re not refunding the amount paid and telling me to register for another test at my own expense.
So they just took my money for literally nothing. The passport requirments were not even clearly mentioned, in the guidelines they only tell you to keep a government ID, it is only when you dig deeper that you find out that only passport is allowed for Indians. Being a JEE aspirant, busy with a lot of stuff, I did not check the entire guidelines and only really read what they mentioned on the surface level.
I had my aadhaar card with me, I was ready to produce any other ID. I was in the process of getting my passport renewed. Also, they’re not a government organisation, tf do they require my passport for and why can’t they accept anything else?
What can I do, please help. I can’t just tell my parents about this without any kind of resolution.
