PSK ppl told me to update Aadhar name and apply for passport again.

So here is my concern:

My name on all my education certificates and birth certificate is Q. Z. Firstname, but on my Aadhar and PAN, it is Firstname ZSurname. When I visited the Passport Seva Kendra (PSK), they advised me to update my Aadhar, as there is no mention of the “Q” initial anywhere.

I called the Aadhar helpline, and they mentioned that a gazette notification is required, but that seems like a really long process.

Can’t I just update it using my 10th marksheet? The problem is that the 10th marksheet only mentions Q. Z. Firstname.

Now I’m confused about what name I should update on my Aadhar:
• Should I change it to Firstname Qname ZSurname?
• Or just Q. Z. Firstname?
• Maybe Q Firstname ZSurname?

Also, if I want to update my Aadhar to Firstname Qname ZSurname, will they require proof? If so, what proof can I provide, considering I don’t have my full name in that format on any ID or document?

If I decide to update Aadhar to Q. Z. Firstname, will my 10th marksheet be accepted as proof?
Later, when I apply for my passport — where the full name should be Firstname Qname ZSurname — will they ask for proof of the full name, or will Aadhar with Q. Z. Firstname be sufficient?

Or if I want to update it to Q Firstname ZSurname, will they accept 10th certificate as proof and will this cause any issues when I again apply for passport? ( will they ask full form of Q and will i be required to show the proof of it?)

I really want to get my passport as soon as possible. Could you please guide me on:
• What name I should update on Aadhar to avoid any future issues.
• What documents would be accepted for the Aadhar update.
• Whether Aadhar with Q. Z. Firstname will create problems when applying for the passport, and what proof would be needed then.

This will be my last correction on Aadhar (as I’ve already made one for a spelling mistake), so I want to get it right this time and avoid any issues in the future.
