March 23, 2025 at 7:15 amI worked at a real estate firm for about few months before I got dengue and had to take a break. When I returned at the beginning of the month, things seemed fine, but by the end of the month, they suddenly let me go with just two days’ notice. Their reason? That I “create chaos or commotion on the floor.” No prior warnings, no proper explanation, just a sudden termination. Now, it’s been over six months, and I still haven’t received my full and final (FNF) settlement. Apparently, they marked “ZTP” (Zero Tolerance Policy) in my relieving letter email, but that shouldn’t justify holding back my rightful dues. I’ve already filed a complaint on the Samadhan portal, but it hasn’t done much. I’ve been told I need to escalate it to the labour department, but I have no idea how to do that.
If anyone has experience dealing with this or knows the right steps to take, I’d really appreciate some guidance.
TL;DR: Fired without proper notice, FNF withheld for 6+ months, Samadhan portal didn’t help, need help filing a complaint with the labour department. Any advice?

March 23, 2025 at 7:23 amLawyer here, based in Delhi. You can file a written complaint with the Labour Commissioner in your area, mentioning the dates of employment, sudden termination, and the pending dues. Attach whatever documents you have, including your appointment letter and the Samadhan complaint details. If that does not help, a legal notice may be the next step.
