March 21, 2025 at 6:02 amYesterday my dad met with an accident at around 7.45 pm. He doesn’t remember what happened, but the people present on spot told me that he crossed the road and was going slowly forward then 2 boys came and slammed their 2 wheeler and they both fell on my father and ran away. I want to file a police report and want those boys to pay for what they did legally without going to court as it’s a hassle and I’m a student 20M -

March 21, 2025 at 6:06 amHey
Just file an FIR and tell the police about it and ask them to file a DAR before the MACT ( Motor accident claims tribunal)
Either their insurance company or they have to pay you the compensation-

March 21, 2025 at 7:08 amIf you donโt have the vehicle number, they need to obtain it through security cameras. Itโs their job but they wonโt do it unless itโs either a high profile case or you put a lot of pressure through their higher ups or through lawyers.

OP
March 21, 2025 at 7:41 amNo, he was on his two wheeler. I know my dad very well, he never misses to follow any traffic rules. His speed was around 10-20 as he was just 100 meters away from our home, returning from the office.

March 21, 2025 at 11:01 amFile FIR with police and if they refuse to file ask them the reason
If you feel that CCTV will have the recording in which no. of vehicle is visible then you can offer something to police so that they can work on you case otherwise it gonna be tough.
If number isnโt visible – nothing can be done.
This is daily scene at indian roads of hit and run.
Take care of your father and thank god heโs safe.-
