I mistakenly sent 12.5k to a wrong account number. Actually the beneficiary sent me two bank accounts and told me to meke the payment on only one of it. He specified the bank account. But I mistakenly sent it to the other account. The party says they aren’t operating it anymore and can’t return it.
I raised a complain over call to my bank union Bank of india. They gave me a complaint number and told me it might take 50 days . I also went to my bank branch to submit an application to the branch manager. But they told me that it has already been registered and they won’t accept the application.
What should I do next
What’s the probability I’ll be getting my money back
Also, at the bank they also told me to register a complaint by calling 1930 or 1903(I don’t remember what they said) I tried calling on both of them. The call is just received and is automatically cut in 20 seconds. No IVR menu. Nothing.
I tried to file a complaint at the npci portal, but it repeatedly says “could not submit request. Please try again after sometime.”
