One of my friends has been trading in the share market, mainly focusing on options. Over time, some of his friends and their friends invested money with him—amounts ranging from ₹1 lakh to ₹4 lakhs—expecting monthly returns. For the first 2-3 years, things went well, and most of them got their initial investment back as profit.
But now, things have taken a turn. Due to some personal financial issues and market volatility, he doesn’t have enough capital to continue trading effectively. On top of that, he’s burdened with monthly payments—EMIs, credit card bills, and the promised returns to investors. Some investors are even asking for their entire principal amount back.
He’s feeling stuck and unsure about what to do next. If he stops trading, he can’t generate returns, but continuing without enough capital might make things worse.
What are his options? Has anyone faced a similar situation? Any advice or strategies to help him manage this mess would be greatly appreciated.
