On May 11 , 1975 in a morning walk in Perth **Prabhupāda** discussed about a rape case in Calcutta . The lawyer was very intelligent. He some way or other made the woman admit, “Yes, I felt happiness.” So his client was released . This is baffling to me . How was a manipulated statement allowed in court at that time . I don’t know much about law so help me understand this case

Rules only changed very recently with regards to rape. Character of a woman could be questioned and had relevance previously.
