Cousin brother(the husband) married this woman(the wife) in Feb 2022. Later in marriage she started avoiding her responsibilities, which still wasn’t a major issue because her MIL is a really KIND(emphasizing kind) person. The MIL did all the work. Then she started going back to her parents’ house every 2-3 days or a week over unnecessary arguments or other reasons. The husband’s elder brother is a little loud mouthed. He argues & quarrels but he never laid a single finger on anybody. Now, they had a son, last year. She got another reason to even more frequently visit her parents. This led to a ‘supposed to be a discussion’ meet between their families which was almost over later until the husband’s elder brother arrived. Her family started saying things provoking his brother to which he replied with a violent language, but didn’t touch anyone. She and her family took the kid and started rushing towards their home not wanting to resolve. The husband tried stoping her, holding her not to go, because he too has been kept from his son very frequently for long periods. He wanted to stay with his wife & son.Main events:
1. She has used really bad CURSE words on the husband on occasions, once witnessed by my mom too.
2. She PUNCHED my brother in the chest once.
3. She showed KNIFE to the husband threatening she’ll kill him and herself in an argument.
4. On the day of final discussion, she HIT the husband 4 times(very hard) though nobody witnessed.Current situation:
Following heated arguments on call, my brother hired a lawyer & sent a notice to her noting all the happenings and allegations. To which, her lawyer replied denying the allegations + putting SO MANY(emphasizing many) false allegations in the notice including physical & mental cruelty by her in-laws. Today, she has filed a domestic violance case in eCOURT under sections 12,18,19,20,21,22,23.The lawyer that we have hired, we feel, isn’t interested in bringing justice for us. Even before the case, in a discussion, the lawyer discouraged the husband claiming that if she goes legal all of the husband’s and his parents’ property will be calculated for compensation. I need advice on how to counter her false case. Thank you.
