What is the right property rental income tax rule?

My mom (Sr. Citizen) filed for tax returns, in which she was told to show her annual rental income. The rental income is way below 2 LPA. I googled and found the exemption is 2.5 LPA. Which implies no tax on the rental income. Yet the CA charged around Rs. 3K for filing income tax and Rs. 12k extra …stating I have concealed your rental income(which we didn’t ask for) hence the amount. It was already exempted. Then why the amount…Do let me know how to get the amount back?
