Discrepancy in daag number of a plot of land

There is a plot of land bought around 20 yrs ago. Everything is fine. All documents are available and are legally valid. Have been paying land revenue tax(khajna) for the past 20 yrs.
And suddenly one day found out that there is a discrepancy in daag number of that plot. The land on which revenue tax is being paid actually has a different daag number.
Is this even possible?
If there is discrepancy in daag number, how can they take the land revenue tax every year?
If everything is correct according to documents, can this discrepancy be solved by land authority office?
