We’re living in the usa since last 4 years. We rented out our commercial shop and this current was renting our shop since last three years and has been paying rent regularly until last 7-8 months. The issue is the lease agreement was ended 9 months ago and my father couldn’t visit india to renew the lease agreement and he continued renting our shop without paying the rent. Now he’s not vacating our shop. What should we do in this situation? Thanks

Lawyer here based in Delhi. You couldn’t be sleeping in such a situation. Hire a smart attorney and start getting back at the tenant. I’ve seen multiple cases where NRI’s sleep on their rights and the court proceedings later turn increasingly tough for them.
