March 12, 2025 at 6:26 pmToday my mother just found out her credit score is below 600 even though she had paid off loans that she took out and credit card bills on time.
Upon looking into it further we found out that my father caused her credit score to dipIn 2008 my mother used to trust my father, he asked for her signature on a blank paper saying that he’s going to give her partial ownership on an apartment he bought and took out a loan of 24 lakhs from icici(not home loan) without telling her but he did give her partial ownership,
In 2018 he took out a home loan of 4 lakhs from LIC, again without telling my mother.
Then in 2019 they seperated but not divorced. Now a couple months ago my mother and father were on good terms(mother still did not know about the loans), I don’t know what my father told her but he convinced her to give up the partial ownership.
He was paying bills until 2024 and now he hasn’t paid for the last 200 days.
Is there anything my mother can do to get out of this
TLDR: father forged mother’s signature and got big loans with her as coapplicant, he has stopped paying and caused my mothers credit card score to go below 600

March 12, 2025 at 6:54 pmRaised a complaint with the rbi ombudsman that you have never applied for such loan before that you have sent a mail to the principal nodal officer of the bank stating that recently you have reviewed the credit report and found out a account reported by you but unfortunately I have never taken any loan from you so this entry is wrong
