March 12, 2025 at 4:54 amHi guys, I had faced an issue in Bangalore regarding my deposit for the rental house was unlawfuily witheld by the landlord. For this I got a contact for a lawyer from this community.
Things went ahead and we sent a legal notice to the landlord to which the landlord countered with another legal notice of this own addressed to my lawyer.
Now my lawyer has been AFK since past 1 month claiming he has been travelling and he contacted me once he was back but he still doesn’t respond back.Is hiring a new lawyer work in this case or the current lawyer has to answer this notice?
All this is causing trauma and my money still remains with the greedy landlord.
Please advice.

March 12, 2025 at 6:24 amNALyou can file a case to the BCI or the states bar council. That is if you have faced any loss because he has been AFK . [https://www.barcouncilofindia.org/info/complaints-against-advocates](https://www.barcouncilofindia.org/info/complaints-against-advocates)
