March 11, 2025 at 7:57 amMy mom and dad are divorced. I am the only child. They both didnโt re-marry. My dad died on 26th August, 2024 within a few minutes of having a cardiac arrest. My paternal parents are alive. We should take the legal heir certificate.
I researched on legal heir certificate recently. What I found is that the class 1 eligibility goes to me and my paternal grandma. But my paternal grandpa also wants his name to be in the legal heir certificate.
If his name is in the certificate, will the property gets divided equally into 3 parts?
We live in Andhra Pradesh but most of the properties are in Telangana. Is Andhra Pradeshโs legal heir certificate valid in Telangana too?
Also, whatโs the process of taking a legal heir certificate?
