March 8, 2025 at 11:15 pmMy father lent a person some money, and the only proof we have is a ₹50 lakh cheque from him, which is quite old. He has left the state and sometimes goes to Qatar, making it difficult to contact him. Whenever we ask for the money, he keeps saying, “I will give when I get it.”What legal options do we have to recover our money? Can we take action based on the old cheque? Any advice would be appreciated.

March 8, 2025 at 11:30 pmNAL. Slightly confused about the mode of payment. If you paid him via cheque, how do you still have the cheque? -

March 9, 2025 at 2:26 amWhat do you mean old cheque? Should have submitted cheque in bank and filed a cheque bounce case. -
