UHi I’m in very tough situation it’s a financial one because i give my friend a 5lakh rupees as in 8000$ I’m in Canada in dec 2023 when he need it but the problem starting to grow he is doing trading n his account get block so he took loan n some other people money to trade so I’m giving him some 30000 40000 money to cover his loan n for some other thing he promised me number of times that he will give me my money back on this day on this date but he never sent me anytime just fake promise i gave my tution fees (college fees)
because i won’t need money at that time it’s my savings i told him to give my money back when my college fees fue date is near it’s y 13 year old friend i don’t want to take any strict action against him but somehow my father already file a lawsuit against him i can’t come to india again n again to court so i signed n delivery power of attorney what can i do in this situation because it’s tough situation in Canada n i need my college fees it’s my hard work of 8 month night shift n all -

HYour father has already initiated legal action on your behalf. Nothing more can be done. It will take a long time for court to decide the suit and even more time for any order to actually get executed. Unless your friend miraculously returns your money by himself (not gonna happen), you won’t be getting the money back anytime soon.

LI don’t blame you as I have given money to friends on numerous occasions. Most of the time I had to beg for my money back and some time it took years. Now I have learnt a valuable lesson and I don’t lend money to anyone. In India there is no justice. Wish at least you had his post dated cheque.
