March 4, 2025 at 5:20 pmMy friend recently qualified for a government post after clearing both the written exam and interview. The official scorecard, cutoff criteria, and merit list were released, and he clearly scored above the cutoff. However, despite having higher marks than some candidates who made it to the waiting list, he was outright rejected without any explanation. He has tried reaching out to the officials via email, but they are not responding. He even filed an RTI to understand the reason behind this, but no response yet. He is panicked and unsure about what steps to take next. Has anyone faced a similar situation? What legal or official actions can he pursue to get clarity or challenge this decision? Any help would be appreciated!
