A kid ran across the road and caused an accident. My dad was on a two-wheeler when the child suddenly ran and came from the side, hitting his leg and falling down. The kid is now in the hospital. The child’s family filed a complaint, and the police have seized my dad’s vehicle. They said that regardless of whether the child came to vehicle or my dad hit the child, he (my dad) is held responsible. I want to know the legal side of this situation.
