March 1, 2025 at 8:40 pmAs the heading says, I just got scammed of โน40,000 by a person impersonating a coaching institute teacher on 1st March around 8 PM time. I know I was a total fool and I made a huge mistake being so gullible. I realised about the fraud and lodged a complaint on 1930 within 3 hours of transaction, also complaining on NCPI Dispute Redressal Mechanism. I also have downloaded all telegram export data where it is clear through chats that I was defrauded by an account impersonating a coaching institute teacher. Can I ever expect to get my money back? Is it possible? What steps can I take for the same. Please help me as I am getting completely stressed out and feeling too guilty at the moment. -

March 1, 2025 at 8:53 pmYour best bet isFind an ethical hacker who can figure out the identity of this person
Befriend him and make him return the money.
I know this sounds ludacrious but it has worked with a friend who got scammed in the wine shop scam on new years many moons back

March 3, 2025 at 3:46 amYou can lodge a complaint in the cyber cell. If that doesn’t work out you can also approach the Court directly. It’d be much easier to get something meaningful out of it if you’re able to somehow ascertain the identity of the fraudster.
