March 1, 2025 at 5:59 amI was directed to post this here from r/kochi. I’m not sure what I should do but any help with be greatHey guys, so back in December I slightly dislocated my left shoulder. So my dad told me there’s this place called Ashti wellmax clinic near stadium Link Road. So I went there and the they diagnose my shoulder as rotator tendonitis. They told me to come for 12 sessions of therapy, which included scanning my shoulder with an Ultrasound scanner thing and just massaging my shoulder. They assured me saying that after 12 sessions it will get completely healed and charged 600 per session. Now I come from a middle class background and even tho my parents make a decent living spending 7200 on my shoulder is a huge amount of money but they said it is fine as long as my shoulder gets healed, because working out is like my only out. I don’t smoke or drink so I really missed working out and it was taking a mental toll on me. After the 6th session I felt no relief in the pain and it was getting kinda sketchy because they are not doing much anymore, so I asked them why am I not feeling any better. They said u will only feel relief after all the 12 sessions. So I blindly believed them.
Fast forward to the last session, then I got a review and the doc said yeah the shoulder seems better. But I told him I feel just the same. My shoulder feels weak and hurts badly. He then told me that I would need to take more sessions. After that I had a bad feeling so I stopped going there all together. Then I recently met another physiotherapist who is specialises in sports. So when I told him about this he told me that a lot of his clients got scammed by them by the same way. They tell them to come for sessions and charge them an outrageous amount and nothing happens.
Want to know if there’s anything I can do to get the money back if it’s possible.
Also would love to get other’s opinion, how’s their experience with this same place. -

March 1, 2025 at 6:27 amI am no lawyer but I will tell you important tip.Whenever you have any health issue, if you want to visit doctor. always visit person who has MBBS degree. There are many PG options MD, dnb blah blah but specialist consultation charges are more. This applies even for hair treatment.
But stick to basics remember if he is MBBS graduate and see if he has displayed registration number.
