Special Marriage act – Telangana

We have registered for Special marriage in Hyderabad. I was wondering if physical presence of the couple is required before the notice period is up? We have applied online in the first week of February and were given a date in the first week of March. Do we need to visit the registrar office before the solemnisation date also?

P.S. We need it for Visa and are in pickle regarding timelines, Please help!!
