February 23, 2025 at 2:06 pmHey guys, i had 2 beers yesterday and had went to drop my friend off to his home, while coming back, there was big turn ahead, and my car got dis balanced, and crashed into a poll, then i had to call a tow truck and while the tow truck was coming, 2 police constables came and ask me what happened, i explained, then they gave a breath analyser, the alcohol showed up in it, then my car was impounded, later due to some contacts the police din’t file an FIR or a Criminal case on me, but issued a drunk drive traffic violation police notice, then he told me to pay the fine amount online to get the case closed, he told he’ll handle the court stuff, and there was no need for me to appear before a judge, but in the challan/notice its written to appear in the court and pay the fine.I deeply regret my actions and would never drunk drive again.
Just wanted to know with this police notice, will there be any issues on abroad visa applications or in job background verifications in india? he din’t file an FIR or Criminal case against me. I have not been able to eat or even sit at one place since this has happened, please help, as im a recent graduate looking for a job
Please help! 🙏

February 23, 2025 at 5:36 pmAFAIk bg check agencies don’t dig deep on cases, so you’ll be fine but for visa applications you’ll get cooked without a doubt.

February 23, 2025 at 3:29 pmChill bro, it’s just a challan. If a FIR would have been filed then there could be some issues.
But for a challan fikar na karo -

February 23, 2025 at 5:10 pmThere’s no “police notice” or any criminal case whatsoever. It’s just a challan. Just don’t repeat the offence again or you can end up getting your license cancelled.-

February 23, 2025 at 5:47 pmThanks for your insight, But it mentions in the challan to visit the court on the given date so won’t that put a criminal record when some company wants to background verifyme, im confused tbh, haven’t been in such a situation before
