UThe beginning of this story will sound like a very typical scenario but the details made it particularly concerning.
10pm climbing the stairs to leave the train platform a man stands at the top waiting and begins calling to me which direction is the exit.
It is clearly indicated but I say thank you and continue to walk.
He asks where I am from and offers me a ride I say no thank you, he continues to stay close to me.
Then a friend of his comes and offers me a ride, I again say no.
Now the first one returns and offers me again.
Now more firmly I state I have already said no to him and his friend, the answer is still no.
They continue to walk very close to me.
Then he again acosts me saying it is too late to walk.
Now we are outside the station and on the street.
A third friend comes and begins asking me ‘what time is shower’ and tells me I smell badly.
I now have all three of them right in front of me, and I manage to get away.
I cant explain exactly why this behavior was abnormal, but it felt scary because there were so many people leaving the station but they were focused only on me, also with it being so late.
I’ve been bothered about tuktuks thousands of times but never felt like I may need to physically defend myself.
Horrible way to come back to a city that actually was my favorite place 🙁

SThis is scary. Would it be possible to contact police and inform them about this incident. Hope they take action.

BSomething tells me you are not Indian ?
The guy asking for shower might want to take you to a Lodge/hotel which might pay him commission for bringing in tourists.
i have heard Jaipur has quite a bit of foreign tourists coming & these people’s agenda seems to accost & take you to an accomdation where they might get paid or worst case they might rob you
