February 19, 2025 at 7:58 pmWhat’s an acceptable proof of a Hindu marriage required to file a mutual divorce case?
The marriage was not registered. They have photographs. A mutual agreement will be signed and notarized. Will the case hold up in court, or will it be dismissed because there is no sufficient proof of marriage? What is the alternative option?

February 19, 2025 at 8:02 pmLawyer here. The photograph of marriage alongwith the copy of the invitation card is a sufficient proof of marriage in the case of divorce with mutual consent. You can go ahead with that since it’s easily accepted at least in Delhi and nearby states. -
