Someone in my family is about to get married. To protect his assets from future false claims post getting married, I watched all videos on the topic, primarily on Amish’s channel. Here is the summary, feel free to suggest changes.

**NOTE: I HAVE NOTHING AGAINST WOMEN. THIS DOCUMENT DOES NOT PRESENT MY VIEWS OR OPINIONS, IT IS JUST A SUMMARY OF AMISH’S ADVICE. THROUGH THIS DOCUMENT, NO WOMAN CAN BE DISADVANTAGED SINCE THIS DOCUMENT ONLY RECORDS THE STATUS QUO. THERE IS NO WAY MEN CAN BENEFIT FROM THIS DOCUMENT. IT ONLY PROTECTS MEN FROM LOSING THEIR ASSETS.**

        – Expenses borne by the bride’s side: **[₹_____]**
        – Expenses borne by the groom’s side: **[₹_____]**
        b. Both parties acknowledge and confirm that all wedding-related expenses have been shared as per mutual agreement, and no disputes exist regarding the same.

        # 2. Exchange of Jewelry

        a. The jewelry brought into the marriage by the bride includes:
        – Gold: **[Weight in grams / Value in ₹]**
        – Diamonds/Other Precious Stones: **[Weight in carats / Value in ₹]**
        – Other Ornaments: **[Details]**

        b. The jewelry brought into the marriage by the groom includes:

        – Gifts received by the groom from the bride’s side: **[Details]**

        # 4. No Dowry Clause

        a. Both parties affirm that no dowry, in any form, has been **demanded, given, or accepted** until the signing of this affidavit.

        b. The marriage is conducted with **free will and mutual consent** without any financial or material obligations.

        # 5. Bride’s Right to Work

        a. The bride has expressed her intention to continue working after marriage.
        b. The groom and his family have **no objection** to her employment, career growth, or financial independence.
        c. The bride retains full control over her income and financial decisions.

        # 6. Pre-Marital Financial Liabilities

        a. Any financial liabilities, loans, or obligations incurred by either party **before marriage** shall remain their individual responsibility.
        b. Neither party nor their respective families shall be held accountable for the pre-existing financial commitments of the other.

        # 7. Mutual Respect and Autonomy

        a. Both parties commit to a relationship based on mutual respect, equality, and personal autonomy.
        b. No restrictions shall be imposed on the personal freedoms of either spouse beyond reasonable marital expectations.

        # 8. Legal Acknowledgment

        a. This affidavit serves as a declaration of mutual understanding and is being executed voluntarily by both parties.
        b. Both parties affirm that they have read and understood the contents of this affidavit and agree to abide by its terms.

        # SIGNED AND ATTESTED ON THIS [Date] AT [Location]

        **[Bride’s Name]**
        Signature: ___________

        **[Groom’s Name]**
        Signature: ___________

        **Witnesses:**

        1. Name: _______________ | Signature: ___________
        2. Name: _______________ | Signature: ___________

        **Notary/Oath Commissioner**
        Seal & Signature: _______________

Logic: Basically we are trying to reduce the potential grounds the bride can make use of to file false cases. Obviously guys don’t demand dowry, only then can you say that no dowry was demanded.

More tips: if you are on the groom’s side and the bride’s parents want to book a banquet hall, they should do it directly, don’t ever ask the bride’s parents for money in your account to make the booking as the amount can be shown in a negative way. the bride’s parents can say that x amount was demanded by the groom.

Loopholes: The bride can make it look like the dowry was demanded after this document was signed.
