UI joined a gym close to my home and tried it out, initially buying a 6 month subscription from May to December 2023. Once it got over, I chose to renew for a year as I liked it. A few weeks after I renewed, the gym closed down abruptly.
They wrote in a notice (that I have a photo of) that refunds would be given for all subscriptions done before 31st December (my subscription would qualify.)
I messaged the gym owner and he told me almost every week that I would get my money by “the end of the week”. Later he stopped reading or responding to my messages.
I got the number of one of his employees and he told me the money would be back by November 2024. It’s past that date and nothing has happened. Even he isn’t responding now.
I made a complaint in the Consumer court with all details and screenshots of chats and they said they can’t do anything as the owner isn’t responding. They recommended eDaakhil for further steps.
Before I file anything there, I wanted to ask if there’s any other option I can use to file a complaint. Any help would be appreciated.
