February 12, 2025 at 7:20 am[For context read my previous post](https://www.reddit.com/r/LegalAdviceIndia/comments/1i4u9tq/genuinely_feel_like_calling_cops_on_my_parents/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=web3x&utm_name=web3xcss&utm_term=1&utm_content=share_button)2 days ago i tried calling child helpline but the number was showing invalid. I got bullied in other subreddits saying that i’m spreading misinformation but istg it’s showing invalid to me and for few other people. Then someone recommended me to call 112, so i did that today but in the call the ai voice says, “welcome blah blah blah, to call police, press 1” there’s no other options. I don’t really want to involve police in this case. I just want some government official to tell/convince my parents to let me go to school.
Please help me.

February 12, 2025 at 7:29 amInvolving police is not wrong. They can help to connect to officials and do a welfare check.childlineindia.org has a an online complaint option too.-

February 12, 2025 at 7:32 amI want to stay as anonymous as possible, i dont want officials to come at my home or file a case against my parents or anything which’s too serious. I just want them to call my parents and tell them.-

February 12, 2025 at 7:45 amIf you can give me some proof, I can file a case on your behalf saying I am your neighbour. Your name will not come. But can’t say that they won’t come to your home. They have to act as per protocol.-

February 12, 2025 at 7:46 amBut you should not think about this too much. If in complaint, it is mentioned that they are not beating you or stuff like that, the officials will probably just visit and try and understand the issue. At this point, you need it.

February 12, 2025 at 7:43 amSorry that you have to go through this, but it’s great that you are trying to improve your situation. What relief are you seeking from the authorities? Since you have already called 1098 (Childline), you can also approach the local Child Welfare Committee (Bal Kalyan Samiti). As per the Juvenile Justice Act, they can take cognizance of your situation and deem you a “child in need of care and protection”. They can counsel your parents and offer other solutions within their mandate.

February 12, 2025 at 7:47 amThanks. I don’t ‘want’ care and protection from the authorities, i just need them to somehow tell my parents to let me go to school. They are ruining my life right now. If they still dont listen then i’ll prolly need the care and protection. Also, how do i reach how to Child welfare committee? Will i be able to stay anonymous?
