Clarification regarding OBC Non Creamy Layer eligibility.

Hello, Not sure if it comes under Legal Advice but didn’t know whom to ask.

My mom’s pension comes out to be 6 lpa and my own income is 12 lpa (gross). I am unmarried.

I was under the impression that I am not eligible for NCL as my mom and mine combined income is above 8 lpa.

However, some of my friends have been telling me that is not the case and only my mom (parents/guardian) annual income is considered.

Kindly guide me in the matter.
