Got scammed by OLX Book purchaser

He texted me on olx, asked for my number and called me. Told me that he will send someone to pick books and told me to send my adress to him on WhatsApp which I did. He was supposed to pay me 2500 of which he agreed to pay 2k right now. He sent me a qr which I scanned and received ₹1 on my acc.
I made a mistake to scan the next qr that he sent and even entered my upi pin to pay him 2k. He then asked me for a screenshot of how much money I have in my acc. It was 1275 so he sent me another money request of 1272. By then I had realised his scam, when I confronted him about it, he told me that if I would cancel, he will lose 3 lakh and will make me repay. He also told me that he would send people to my home as he already has my adress.
I was scared yet I didn’t pay 1272 and then he ended the call and blocked me.
I tried reporting this on cybercrime website but since I am not 18 years old, it didn’t register a complaint. Also the helpline number didn’t work. Kindly help what should I do?

Learn the lesson and move on. Get some adult in your family to report the crime on cyber crime porta.

Your father can register it on your behalf. The point is to make sure the crime gets reported irrespective of result or outcome.

Yes like he told me he would pay and sent me a qr code that was requesting 2k, it was my mistake to not check and I directly scanned and paid, thinking I would get that 2k.

Wow… Sigh, stay away from this now. Also, olx is only good when you know how it works CHECK THRICE for everything tbh. Otherwise so many countless scams on olx is roaming. Be safe goodluck.

So, you are the reason for us to get bombarded with messages and caller tunes to not share OTPs or enter PIN for receiving money via UPI etc. Always wondered why these many messages to the point of cringe. Now I understand.

First up, if you aren’t 18, why are you even on OLX?

Anyway, that money is gone. You are not getting it back. Inform your parents if it is their money.
