        Hello everyone,

I am from Odisha, and I have been dealing with a persistent issue with my neighbors for the past 5-6 years. They have large trees that overshadow our house, leading to a daily mess of fallen leaves and branches. Cleaning up this mess is extremely time-consuming, and housemaids refuse to work at our place because of the extra workload. Since I live in a town, finding a replacement is also quite difficult.

We politely asked our neighbors to either trim or chop the trees, but they flat-out refused, arguing that trees provide oxygen. While I understand the importance of greenery, the constant maintenance has become a huge burden, especially since my parents are elderly. To make things worse, they recently cut down trees on their other side but deliberately left the ones affecting us.

Beyond the tree issue, their behavior has become increasingly hostile:

        1. They litter our space by throwing cigarette buds, cardboard boxes, burnt matchsticks, and even bits of clothes and underwear.

        2. They have a small balcony overhanging our property, and whenever the lady of the house cleans it, she intentionally splashes dirty soap water onto our parked car.

        3. We have no choice but to park the car there because of the trees, direct sunlight, or their intentional harassment.
At this point, I am mentally exhausted and unsure how to handle this. Should I take legal action? Approach the municipal authorities? Or is there another way to resolve this?

Any advice or similar experiences would be greatly appreciated! Thanks in advance.
